Our four slightly bored Young Detectives lay on a beach in Maine wondering what to do with themselves. Having just solved their first case “The Mystery Of Monster Manor,” they are taking a short vacation before heading back to school. When Angie tells them about a mysterious cave she’d heard about not far from where they lay which was rumored to be Blackbeard the Pirates secret hideout as he sailed the Maine coast plundering rich merchant vessels for their treasures of gold, they think it is Angie’s rich imagination. But after visiting the town’s museum, read up on some of Blackbeard’s history and see the skeletal remains of his frigate, their skepticism begins to disappear.

With little else to do, the Young Detective Squad sets out to explore the range of low rocky cliffs lining the beachfront to find the secret cave. They are unaware that they are embarking on their second highly dangerous case, “THE TREASURE OF PIRATES CAVE.”
